Rang was founded in 2013 by Sakshi Regmi and Shirin Hakim to introduce the beauty of Bollywood to the University of Massachusetts Amherst campus. The word "Rang" means "color" in Hindi to signify the colorful, diverse nature of music. Rang strives to celebrate diversity and makes music in multiple different languages including English, Hindi, Spanish, and many others.
